Molecular Science Program
Applicant shall have graduated with a baccalaureate degree from an institution accredited by a recognized regional or national accreditation agency*, or an equivalent degree from a foreign institution as certified by a foreign transcript evaluation agency approved by AMT.
AND shall have completed a combination of 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) of biological science, chemistry, mathematics, and/or medical science courses
AND shall have completed a diagnostic molecular science program within the past five years.
If completed more than 5 years ago, a minimum of 6 months of acceptable molecular science experience within the last five years
- The experience must have been in at least one of the seven clinical laboratory disciplines: Molecular Biology, Genetics/Genomics, Histocompatibility, Infectious Disease Testing, Tumor Markers, Oncology/Hematology, Mass Spectrometry.
*Program or institution must be accredited by a regional or national accreditation agency approved by the US Department of Education (DOE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or otherwise approved by AMT.
